Art Education for Children

Established in 2001, Artstar Studio was founded on a belief in the immense importance of the visual arts as a necessary part of education. Inherent in our philosophy is the knowledge that all children are capable of experiencing the joy of the visual arts regardless of age or ability. Here at Artstar Studio, we welcome students to communicate their ideas in a way which both challenges and encourages them to discover what they are capable of.

Testimonials

  • Our son Toby has been attending classes at the studio since the beginning of the year. We were initially concerned about how a 5 year old would cope with a two hour session, but this is often his favourite part of the week and really allows him to leave everything else at the door and spend some time doing something that he loves being guided by some wonderful mentors. Not only have these classes helped Toby develop his skills and an appreciation of art, his love of all things creative now follows him home; we are delighted to see him regularly sitting down and immersing himself in another project. Thank you Michelle and all of the staff at ArtStar for building such a supportive and creative environment for our young artists.

  • ArtStars has given our son the opportunity to express himself through the medium of art. His confidence has grown exponentially, and the artistic skills he has learned are priceless. Max has been attending the studio for almost 5 years and he has been nurtured by Michelle and her dedicated staff. I am confident that his passion for art will be developed for many more years to come.

  • My son started at Artstar in year four and three years later has always enjoyed his time at Art class. In this supportive environment he has been given opportunities by Michelle and the girls to explore many different mediums and as a result has gained the confidence to have a go at anything. It’s a skill he’ll have for life as well as a hobby!

  • I cannot recommend highly enough Michelle and her team at Artstar. My daughter was a student from grade 5 until grade 12 and I have been an adult
    student since 2013.

The support and guidance Caitlin received from Artstar through the senior years of Art at school, allowed her to create a body of work that saw her
become Dux of her year for Art. I went from not being able to draw a stick figure to having the confidence to try my hand in any medium. The
interaction with teachers and staff alike is fun and relaxed. If you have been wanting to try an art class for yourself or children try Artstar.
